Holy Monastery of Avassos
Dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos, the catholicon of the Avassos Monastery, which is near the settlement of Ano Kotsanopoulo, is a three-aisled domed basilica.
It was reconstructed in the period between 1850 and 1853 by Monk Kyprianos on the location of an older temple, as is indicated by the built-in architectural members.
